During the Seventies, the number of local inhabitants elevated significantly, making Shaughnessy Village probably the most densely populated space in Québec. He experimented with the home, giving all sides a unique look—Art Deco for the facade, monumental for the east side and distinctly fashionable for the back. Cormier created most of the furniture, while the remaining items were acquired at the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
