Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, founded in 1972 by Geneviève Salbaing, explores unique and trendy territories in dance. Since Montréal was the town positioned farthest up the St. Lawrence River, it soon surpassed Québec City because the hub of this lucrative commerce.
